The Center for Study of Community Health of Georgia has been named after American Senator Richard Lugar. The ceremony was held today in teh vicinity of the airport in Tbilisi, where the center, constructed with new U.S. investment is located. 
One alpinist has died when ascending Ushba, one of the most notable peaks of the Caucasus Mountains in Svaneti Region of Georgia. Four of the five-member group of Russian nationals are reportedly alive.
U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, who is on his visit in Georgia met with representatives of the political opposition in Tbilisi today. Senator Lugar at the meeting reiterated the U.S. support for Georgia.
