President of GFF makes special statement

President of Georgian Football Federation made a special statement regarding the accident that took place during the match between FC Zestaponi and FC Kutaisi Torpedo and the involvement of footballers in match-fixing machinations.
Zviad Sichinava warned all football clubs and players that any hooligan bahaviour during matches will be punished. He said sanctions will become stricter.
Commenting on fixing matches, Sichinava said a special commission is investigating the incident and after receiving results, all footballers involved will be punished in accordance with FIFA and UEFA regulations.
As reported, the match between FC Zestaponi and FC Kutaisi Torpedo ended with an accident - fans of the two clubs broke chairs and threw them and other objects on the stadium in protest. After the match, the stadium administration found that over 300 seats of the stadium were broken. The fans also damaged the minibuses parked outside the stadium.
Besides, on May 2, footballers of Samteredia, Baia Zugdidi and Vit Georgian football clubs were arrested by the CSD in suspicion of involvement in match-fixing machinations. They were all released after interrogation.
