New text-book for non-Georgian schools

A new text-book of Georgian language has been printed special for the non-Georgian schools, where the pupils of ethnic minorities study. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini presented the new text-book to the pupils and the teachers of the TbilisiN73 Azeri school today.

A boulevard named after Valdas Adamkus, the former president of Lithuania opened in Georgia`s Black Sea town of Anaklia today. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened the boulevard with Mr. Adamkus.

Georgian Apostolic Orthodox Church marks the day of Saint Nino on June 1. The preachment of Christianity turned out fruitful in his life and the King of Kartli, Mirian declared it as the state religion of the nation in the IV century AD. Georgian Church marks the Day of Saint Nino twice a year.
