Youth wing of NDP addresses international organizations
The representatives of the youth organization of Georgia`s National Democratic Party assembled in the Zugdidi office of the political party today to express their protest against the restoration and rehabilitation works of the Likhni Temple in Gudauta, breakaway Abkhazia.
The members of the party have already addressed UNESCO, EU mission in Georgian and other international organizations to prevent abuse of Georgian historic monuments and destruction of Georgian traces in the breakaway Abkhazia.
`We addressed the international community to protect Georgian monuments in the occupied region when Russian began to whitewash Bedia and Ilori Saint George monasteries in Abkhazia. Now, Russians are going to do the same to the Gudauta Virgin Mary Church. We are addressing international organizations, EU mission in Georgia in order to stop the attempts of erasing Georgian traces and abusing Georgian culture,` the members of the organization said at the briefing today.
