Coordination Council monitors work of volunteers in Kakheti
President`s Personal representative to the Kakheti Region Levan Bezhashvili chaired the session of the disaster affected assistance coordination council in Kakheti Today. Levan Bezhashvili listened to the reports of the coordinators of the groups of volunteers, who are carrying out monitoring aiming at registering the damage inflicted onto the region by the disaster two weeks ago. The groups of volunteers were gathering information about the damage until late last night. 300 local volunteers visit each family with special questionnaires to register the damage to locals. The volunteers are also registering the assistance provided to the injured families; rehabilitation of roofs to the damaged buildings, distribution of chemicals and fertilizers and food products allocated by the government after the disaster. The groups of volunteers are still working in the region visiting families individually.
