Central Election Commission of Georgia works in the special regime after the president announced the date of parliamentary elections, which will be held on October 1,2012. The CEC has been already handed over the list of the voters, checked up by the State Commission for Ensuring Voter List Accuracy (CEVLA). From today on, the CEC begins to register qualified political entities. Currently, 32 political parties have already submitted required documents for registration at the CEC, but only five of them have been registered. The deadline for registration of the qualified political organizations expires at 18:00 on August 5.Election blocs should be formed during the next 17 days for further registration. As for the single-mandate MP candidates and the list of the parties for parliamentary elections should be submitted to CEC within the next 30 days.
