Opposition leader visits mountainous village after president
Leader of the Georgian Dream opposition coalition Bidzina Ivanishvili visited the village of Beshumi in the mountainous part of Adjara Region to mark the traditional Shuamtoba celebration there soon after the Georgian president left the village today.
Police officers asked the opposition leader to refrain from approaching the rally held for supporting the national Movement ruling party in the village in order to avoid any kind of controversy.
The leader of the Georgian Dream refused to take the advice into account. After having arrived at the meeting of the ruling party, Bidzina Ivanishvili put on a National Movement hat on request of the governor of Khelvachauri district.
