One alpinist dies when ascending Georgia`s Ushba Peak

One alpinist has died when ascending Ushba, one of the most notable peaks of the Caucasus Mountains in Svaneti Region of Georgia. Four of the five-member group of Russian nationals are reportedly alive. They are descending the south summit of mountain with Georgian rescuers now.
As reported, the accident took place at the height of 3700 meters.
Rescuers are trying to save a member of another expedition on the mount of Ushba. As reported, the Armenian climber was ascending the peak from the northern slope stopped 200 meters down the peak and asked for help. He is at the height of 4500 meters now.
Georgian rescuers have been working since morning, trying to transport the body of the killed climber and take Armenian alpinist trapped on the slope of the mountain by a helicopter. Despite the aircraft`s fourth attempt, two rescue brigades were not able to land on the mountain as due to the strong wind the aircraft was not able to approach the slope.
One hour ago, the rescuers were landed on teh height of 2900 meters. They are trying the transport the body of the killed climber.
