Olympic delegation returns to Georgia today
Georgian delegation finished its participation in the London 2012 Olympic Games with one gold, three silver and three bronze medals. Georgian team had 35 members, who participated in 21 types of Olympic Games.
The youngest sportsman of the team, Lasha Shavdatuashvili from Gori, won the gold medal in the 66 kg category in judo; he also made a record becoming the youngest Olympic champion in the history of Georgian sports.
Free style wrestlers, Vladimer Khinchegashvili, Davit Modzmanashvili and Greco-Roman style wrestler Revaz Lashkhi won silver medals; Davit Marsagishvili, Manuchar Tskhadaia and Giorgi Gogshelidze became bronze medals winners. Giorgi Gogshelidze announced about ending his sports career after the Olympic Games.
