Prime Minister and the members of the Cabinet are in Guria Region meeting local population. Vano Merabishvili met with local farmers in Ozurgeti town and introduced the government`s four-year program, functions of the State Fruit and Vegetable Export Company and other plans aiming at supporting agriculture development. Prime Minister said the new state company will be in charge of purchasing redundant harvest from farmers and provide further export to Ukraine; it is also intended to carry out re-export of the product from Ukraine to other European countries. Vano Merabishvili said the main challenge of Georgian farmers has been so far the problem of instability on markets; now the government pledges to become the guarantor of the realization of the harvest in Georgia`s regions.
