PM met with the representatives of energy sector
Prime Minister of Georgia met with the representatives of the energy sector at the government`s chancellery today to discuss the problems of the energy sphere and the measures that should be carried out to overcome these problems.
Vano Merabishvili said the electricity consumption has been doubled during past few years and it has affected the quality of the energy supplied to the regions, adding the low frequency of power represented a serious problem to the equipments at new hospitals and factories there.
Prime Minister instructed the new minister of energy Vakhtang Balavadze to work on the solution of the problem in the shortest period of time.
The representatives of the energy sector and Prime Minister also discussed the process of installation of individual power meters in regions and the construction of gas providing systems.
