Aqua Park to be opened in Lagodekhi, Kakheti

An aqua park will be opened in the town of Lagodekhi of Kakheti Region in Eastern Georgia in a year. A foundation was laid to the new complex today. Georgian prime minister attended the ceremony.
In his speech after the ceremony Vano Merabishvili said amount of tourists is increasing year by year in the region, therefore development of recreational and leisure infrastructure is very important.
The aqua park will be constructed on the territory of a former military base. Construction of sports grounds, pools, bungalows, a banquet hall, a restaurant and a hotel is planned on the area. The project costs Gel 1 million.
Later, Vano Merabishvili visited the village of Vachnadziani of Kakheti Region and inspected the process of giving out compensations for locals of the natural disaster-affected region. The prime minister personally participated in the proecss.
