Diplomats mark 67th anniversary of victory on fascism

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and foreign diplomats assembled in the Vake Park today to mark the 67th anniversary of the victory on fascism. Georgian and foreign diplomats laid wreaths at the memorial of Unknown Soldier.
They said it was a historic and a very important day, because it was the day of world`s unification and victory on common enemy.
`We are obliged to respect those people, who sacrificed their lives for this great victory and congratulate on this victory to the people, who contributed to this victory and are still beside us today,` Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Nikoloz Vashakidze said.
Two demonstrations are held in Kutaisi simultaneously. The supporters of the United National Movement assembled at the insulator, where Vano Merabishvili and Zurab Chiaberashvili are currently held after detention and demanded their release.
