Tskhinvali puppet regime is preparing to host an international football match in August - reportedly, the Tskhinvali team will play vs. Kosovo on August 7th. The date was selected symbolically on the fourth anniversary of the beginning of war in 2008. President of the Georgian Football Federation, Zviad Sitchinava has disapproved the fact assessing it as the violation of international football norms. Under the decision of the FIFA and UEFA, no official matches will be held on the occupied territories of Georgia.
FIFA has replied on the letter sent by the Georgian Football Federation to FIFA president Joseph Blatter on May 25. In it, GFF administration demanded explanations on the illegitimate desire of the Abkhazian puppet regime to host international tournaments in Georgia`s occupied region.
Berlin`s newspaper Morgen Post is reporting that the Disciplinary Committee of the country`s Football Union will take the final decision on one year disqualification of Georgian player Levan Kobiashvili next week. Footballer`s lawyer says he is doing his best to save the sportsman from a long-term ban, but it will be quite hard to achieve.
