Minister of Health and Social Care and President`s Special Representative to the disaster affected Kakheti Region met with the group of volunteers, who are in charge of registering the damage inflicted onto the region and gave them special instructions in order to conduct the process of registration scrupulously. Zurab Chiaberashvili and Levan Bezhashvili met with the volunteers in the village of Kurdghelauri and discussed the works carried out and plans for the future. The volunteers have been assigned to describe all details in special questionnaires. The 28,000 families, who were affected by the disaster, will be paid their compensations in August; as for the rehabilitation of the damaged buildings, Health Care Minister said 2,500 of the 4,000 damaged buildings already had new roofs. Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili is also in Kakheti. He met with farmers in the village of Kisiskhevi together with the members of the Agriculture Scientific Academy. Prime Minister asked the academicians to join the process of implementation of new governmental programs. The government will also follow the recommendations given by the scientists in the process of assistance to farmers in the disaster affected region.
