Non-stop rains cause collapse of a church wall in Tbilisi

Last weekend`s non-stop rains have caused a collapse of a wall of the Armenian Church on Vertskhli Street in Tbilisi last night. The ruins of the wall fell on a house beside the church and damaged its wall too. Luckily, the collapse caused no casualties. Locals say the church was damaged and it failed to stand the disaster. The church was built in 1701 but it did not function any longer.
Government of Georgia proposes to declare May 16 a day of mourning to honor the three Georgian soldiers, who were killed in a terror attack on a military base in Afghanistan two days ago. The initiative has been sent to the president of Georgia today.
