Tbilisi Appeal Court releases statement on Ivanishvili`s case

Tbilisi Appeal Court has released a statement regarding the ruling taken on the appeal of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the leader of the Georgian Dream Coalition, who is seeking his double citizenship. In the statement, the court defines the reasons of the decision, which left the ruling of the Tbilisi City Court in force and did not satisfy the appeal. The statement says hat the Appeal Chamber approved the explanations of the first instance court that the grounds determined by the article N32 of Georgia`s organic law on Georgian Citizenship refers equally on those persons, who are the citizens of Georgia and those foreign citizens, who have been granted the citizenship of Georgia on the grounds of the exception rule.
